This course is an approved Florida responsible vendor training program. The course meets all of the training requirements to achieve certification for the State of Florida. Responsible Vendor training compliance is currently a voluntary program. If you serve or sell alcohol or are a trainer/manager for staff that serves or sells alcohol you can take this course to get certified and learn the skills and techniques used to recognize the signs of intoxication, how to spot a minor and how to intervene to keep your patrons and establishment free from liability. In addition the training covers important information on underage drinking, how to check identification and what types of identification are acceptable, as well as how to keep the community safe.
Privacy is a serious subject and your data will never be shared with anyone except for the governing body for this course that will require the data for certification and/or transmission to the State of Florida for the Responsible Vendor certification requirements.
Our Use: During Your registration for a course posted on our site, we will collect Personal Information which is stored and secured in our database.
Automatic Information Collected Without User Input. Examples of the PI we collect and analyze include the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; login; e-mail address; location; password; computer and connection information such as browser type, version, and time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system, and platform; purchase history, clickstream to, through, and from our site, including date and time, registration information, when you send or receive a catalog or brochure, or participate in a promotion (collectively referred to as "Analytical Information") We may also collect Information Analytical Information you submit to us about other people, such as the name and address of someone you are referring to us.
After Your completion of some courses or classes, the site may request information from users via surveys and "course ratings". Your participation in these surveys is completely voluntary, and the information is posted on our site as a tool to help other site visitors.
CTABC will use collected PI to provide you with services as requested on our site and for our internal purposes. These services include registering for and taking a course, authentication, and certificate shipping; confirming and tracking your order; subscription; analyzing statistics and demographics; and informing you of new products, services, and offers as provided by us and/or our affiliates. CTABC does not sell or provide your PI or Card Information to any outside third party (except for those disclosures provided above) unless you are registering for a course provided by a third party school, affiliate, school, or course provider.
Web Beacons. We may also use web beacons to collect Information about your use of our site and those of our affiliates, and your use of special promotions or newsletters. The information we collect by Web Beacons allows us to statistically monitor the number of people that open our emails and why they opened our emails. Our Web Beacons are not used to track your activity outside of our site or those of our affiliates. We do not link Information from Web Beacons to Information without your permission.
Affiliated Businesses We Do Not Control: We work closely with affiliated businesses (referred to as "Affiliates"). If we have collected PI from you, we will share your PI related to your transactions with CTABC to that Affiliate.
Please note that when a Student pays for a class on our site by using a credit card or debit card (collectively, credit card or debit card referred to as "Card Information"), the Card Information's number is not collected by CTABC, the Card Information's number is collected by an independent Affiliate (as defined below) that uses reasonably commercially standard methods in securing credit card data. We have NO CONTROL over these Affiliates that we use for billing services. CTABC does not collect or store Card information. Your Card information is saved by an Affiliate that we use for Card processing services and with which we maintain a written agreement to ensure appropriate security and confidentiality measures are in place to safeguard your Information. However, you understand and agree that we are in no way responsible for any misuse of your credit card or debit card number.
Third-Party Service Providers: We contract with other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf ("Third-Party Service Providers"). Examples of Third-Party Service Providers include article and content writing, software development, certificate delivery, package delivery, sending postal mail and e-mail, providing search results and links (including paid listings and links), processing credit card payments, and providing customer service. They have access to your PI needed to perform their functions, but such Third-Party Service Providers may not use it for other purposes.
CTABC services are designed to generate email notifications to you as a Students as reminders (but not obligated to send reminders) about the courses for which You have registered, in addition to other course announcements. Should CTABC establish a message board at any time, all information posted on the message board is considered public information. Please use discretion in disclosing any private information.
There are times that we may have to disclose your PI to comply with state and federal laws; to assist law enforcement and governmental agencies in preventing or investigating fraud or other crimes, or in response to a court order. In such instances, we will only provide the PI requested and your PI will only be used for legal purposes as opposed to marketing. Finally, if we sold or transferred our business, we would transfer your PI to the purchaser as appropriate and might also retain a copy of your Information for any new business ventures we would start.
You acknowledge that your use and access of these sites is solely at your own risk. It is your responsibility to check the privacy policies of these sites to see how they treat your personal information.
You can always opt out of future unaffiliated third-party disclosures of your information. When we collect your PI through our site, we will encrypt your PI before it travels over the Internet using industry standards as establishing for conducting secure online transactions. We also use industry standard technologies such as secure routers and fire walls to make sure that your Information is safe. While on a secure page, the lock icon on the bottom of STUDENT'S web browser will appear in a locked position. Unfortunately, we cannot fully guarantee secure data transmission over the Internet because of its nature. Once we receive your PI, we have industry standard security measures in place to protect against the loss or misuse of your Information, though again, we cannot fully guarantee against such loss or misuse. We strongly urge you to protect any password you may have for our site and not share it with anyone. You should always log out of our site when you are done using it, especially if you are sharing a computer with someone else or are using a computer in a public place.

Charges and Terms of Payment: All fees must be paid in full before STUDENT begins the course. This includes the course, unit testing and Certificate of Completion upon passing the course.
Course Schedule: Each course is scheduled per the required state guidelines for the amount of time necessary to graduate and receive certification. There are multiple chapters of instruction and testing on material covered in course content.
Falsification of documents submitted to CTABC or the Texas Alcohol and Beverage Commission “TABC” is a crime and is punishable by law. By registering for the CTABC course and receiving a Certificate of Completion, STUDENT states that he/she studied all of the material in the course, and completed and passed the examination(s). If CTABC discovers that STUDENT has willfully misrepresented himself/herself, or has cheated, STUDENT will be stopped from taking the course with no refund of the registration fees.
Grading and Progress Policy: STUDENT agrees that he/she may not be certified or given credit for the course unless STUDENT scores the TABC requirment or higher on the exam(s). Student will be allowed to review material if necessary. Rules for passing may be altered for applicable state course and state agency regulations.
Cancellation and Refund Policy: A full refund will be made to STUDENT if he/she cancels registration prior to completion of course. All registration fees paid are due and refundable when the course of instruction is discontinued by CTABC preventing STUDENT from completing the course. Any refund will be made within 30 days of the effective date of termination. If STUDENT has not successfully completed the course within 180 days, his/her registration will be terminated without notice, and he/she will not be eligible for a refund.
Completion and Certificate Policy: CTABC will issue certificates within 24 hours after successful completion of course. CTABC is prohibited from issuing a uniform certificate of course completion if STUDENT has not met all of the requirements for course completion, and STUDENT should not accept a uniform certificate of course completion under such circumstances. Duplicate certificates must be requested directly from CTABC.
Security Policy: CTABC undertakes extensive precautions to ensure the security of STUDENT’S information both online and offline. All STUDENT information is encrypted and protected by SSL, the finest encryption software available. While on a secure page, the lock icon on the bottom of STUDENT’s web browser will appear in the locked position.
Hardware and Software Requirements for Internet Use: An updated list of the technology required to operate an online course is available on the website. In addition, all courses require the use of a pointing device such as a mouse and speakers or headphones.
Third-Party Data for Internet Use: If required by the State Agency, STUDENT understands that for student validation purposes, CTABC will access public databases from third party sources in order to extract driver’s license and vehicle registration information. STUDENT authorizes CTABC to access this information under the condition that it be used exclusively for the purpose of student validation.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY. EXCEPT WHERE THIS LIMITATION OF LIABILITY WOULD BE VOID OR INEFFECTIVE UNDER APPLICABLE STATUTE OR REGULATION, NEITHER CTABC NOR ITS AFFILIATES, AGENTS, LICENSORS, DISTRIBUTORS OR SUPPLIERS SHALL BE LIABLE UNDER ANY CLAIM, DEMAND OR ACTION ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE CTABC PRODUCTS, NOR CTABC’S PERFORMANCE OF (OR FAILURE TO PERFORM) ANY OBLIGATION UNDER THIS AGREEMENT, NOR FOR ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES WHETHER BASED IN CONTRACT, TORT OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES DUE TO LOST PROFITS, LOST SAVINGS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION COSTS, DAMAGES FROM LOSS OF BUSINESS INFORMATION OR OTHER DAMAGES CAUSED BY THE INABILITY TO USE THE CTABC PRODUCTS, EVEN IF CTABC, ITS AFFILIATES, AGENTS OR LICENSORS HAD ACTUAL OR CONSTRUCTIVE KNOWLEDGE OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH LOSS OR DAMAGES AND WHETHER OR NOT SUCH LOSS OR DAMAGES WERE FORESEEABLE. CTABC’S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ACTUAL DAMAGES FOR ANY CAUSE WHATSOEVER WILL BE LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR THE CTABC PRODUCTS. THIS LIMITATION OF DAMAGES SET FORTH HEREIN CONSTITUTES A FUNDAMENTAL ELEMENT OF THE BASIS OF THE BARGAIN BETWEEN CTABC AND YOU.
