This course is approved by the New York State Liquor Authority ID number Albany-AT-0026. The course meets all of the training requirements to achieve New York State Liquor Authority requirements. NYSLA ATAP training compliance and requirements are detailed on the NY FAQ portion of this website. If you serve or sell alcohol or are a trainer/manager for staff that serves or sells alcohol in the State of New York you can get ATAP certified. The online course focuses on the skills and techniques used to spot a minor, recognize the signs of intoxication, and how to intervene to keep your, community patrons and establishment safe and free from liability.
This website takes your privacy and the data it collects seriously and in no circumstances will your data be shared with anyone except for the New York State Liquor Authority which is the governing body for this course which will require the data for certification and transmission for their verification and records.

By use of this site, whether such use is as a visitor or browser ("Visitor") or whether such use is for an instructional on-line course ("Student") (collectively, the terms Visitor or Student also referred to as "you" or "your"), and by disclosing personal information (PI), credit card information or debit card (collectively, "Card Information"), you are agreeing to the terms of Comedy TABC a dba of International Driver Training, LLC's ("CTABC" or "our" or "we") Privacy Policy. PI includes personal identifiable information and non-personal information (usually obtained as a Visitor).

Our Use: During Your registration for a course posted on our site, we will collect Personal Information which is stored and secured in our database.
Automatic Information Collected Without User Input. Examples of the PI we collect and analyze include the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; login; e-mail address; location; password; computer and connection information such as browser type, version, and time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system, and platform; purchase history, clickstream to, through, and from our site, including date and time, registration information, when you send or receive a catalog or brochure, or participate in a promotion (collectively referred to as "Analytical Information") We may also collect Information Analytical Information you submit to us about other people, such as the name and address of someone you are referring to us.
After Your completion of some courses or classes, the site may request information from users via surveys and "course ratings". Your participation in these surveys is completely voluntary, and the information is posted on our site as a tool to help other site visitors.
CTABC will use collected PI to provide you with services as requested on our site and for our internal purposes. These services include registering for and taking a course, authentication, and certificate shipping; confirming and tracking your order; subscription; analyzing statistics and demographics; and informing you of new products, services, and offers as provided by us and/or our affiliates. CTABC does not sell or provide your PI or Card Information to any outside third party (except for those disclosures provided above) unless you are registering for a course provided by a third party school, affiliate, school, or course provider.
Cookies. Our site may send a "cookie" to your computer. A cookie is a small piece of data that is sent to your browser from a server and stored on your computer's hard drive. A cookie cannot read data off your hard disk or read cookie files created by other sites. Cookies do not damage your system. We use cookies to identify which areas of our site you have visited, so the next time you visit the site, we can better personalize the content that you see on our site. Most browsers can be set to disable the use of Cookies. However, if you disable Cookies, you may not be able to use certain functionality on our site correctly or at all. Web Beacons. We may also use web beacons to collect Information about your use of our site and those of our affiliates, and your use of special promotions or newsletters. The information we collect by Web Beacons allows us to statistically monitor the number of people that open our emails and why they opened our emails. Our Web Beacons are not used to track your activity outside of our site or those of our affiliates. We do not link Information from Web Beacons to Information without your permission.
Affiliated Businesses We Do Not Control: We work closely with affiliated businesses (referred to as "Affiliates"). If we have collected PI from you, we will share your PI related to your transactions with CTABC to that Affiliate.
Please note that when a Student pays for a class on our site by using a credit card or debit card (collectively, credit card or debit card referred to as "Card Information"), the Card Information's number is not collected by CTABC, the Card Information's number is collected by an independent Affiliate (as defined below) that uses reasonably commercially standard methods in securing credit card data. We have NO CONTROL over these Affiliates that we use for billing services. CTABC does not collect or store Card information. Your Card information is saved by an Affiliate that we use for Card processing services and with which we maintain a written agreement to ensure appropriate security and confidentiality measures are in place to safeguard your Information. However, you understand and agree that we are in no way responsible for any misuse of your credit card or debit card number.
Third-Party Service Providers: We contract with other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf ("Third-Party Service Providers"). Examples of Third-Party Service Providers include article and content writing, software development, certificate delivery, package delivery, sending postal mail and e-mail, providing search results and links (including paid listings and links), processing credit card payments, and providing customer service. They have access to your PI needed to perform their functions, but such Third-Party Service Providers may not use it for other purposes.
CTABC services are designed to generate email notifications to you as a Students as reminders (but not obligated to send reminders) about the courses for which You have registered, in addition to other course announcements. Should CTABC establish a message board at any time, all information posted on the message board is considered public information. Please use discretion in disclosing any private information.
There are times that we may have to disclose your PI to comply with state and federal laws; to assist law enforcement and governmental agencies in preventing or investigating fraud or other crimes, or in response to a court order. In such instances, we will only provide the PI requested and your PI will only be used for legal purposes as opposed to marketing. Finally, if we sold or transferred our business, we would transfer your PI to the purchaser as appropriate and might also retain a copy of your Information for any new business ventures we would start.
Our site may contain links to other websites. You understand that these other sites are not under our control and are not subject to our Privacy Policy. These sites will likely have their own privacy policies. We have no responsibility for these sites and provide links to these sites solely for your convenience.
You acknowledge that your use and access of these sites is solely at your own risk. It is your responsibility to check the privacy policies of these sites to see how they treat your personal information.
You can always opt out of future unaffiliated third-party disclosures of your information. We have taken steps to build our site using sophisticated encryption and authentication tools to protect the security of your PI. When we collect your PI through our site, we will encrypt your PI before it travels over the Internet using industry standards as establishing for conducting secure online transactions. We also use industry standard technologies such as secure routers and fire walls to make sure that your Information is safe. While on a secure page, the lock icon on the bottom of STUDENT'S web browser will appear in a locked position. Unfortunately, we cannot fully guarantee secure data transmission over the Internet because of its nature. Once we receive your PI, we have industry standard security measures in place to protect against the loss or misuse of your Information, though again, we cannot fully guarantee against such loss or misuse. We strongly urge you to protect any password you may have for our site and not share it with anyone. You should always log out of our site when you are done using it, especially if you are sharing a computer with someone else or are using a computer in a public place.
Changes to the CTABC Privacy Policy will be posted on our site and it is our customers' responsibility to visit our site in order to stay informed of any changes to the policy. As necessary to address changes in laws or our business practices, we may modify our Privacy Policy, in whole or in part, to address these changes. We will typically notify users by some message on our site's home page that our Privacy Policy has changed. The following are the terms of use between you, the Course Registrant (hereinafter referred to as "STUDENT"), and Comedy Seller Server (hereinafter referred to as "CSS"), and is a legal agreement. By accessing, using, registering and/or browsing the Comedy Seller Server site, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions of this Agreement. CSS reserves the right, in its discretion to update or revise these Terms and Conditions and to post such updated or revised Terms and Conditions on this site. If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions, please do not use this site. Please check the Terms and Conditions periodically for changes. Your continued use of this site following the posting of any changes to the Terms and Conditions constitutes acceptance of those changes.
Charges and Terms of Payment: The CSS Course registration fee ("Fee") must be paid in full before STUDENT begins the CSS Course. The Fee includes the CSS Course, it’s associated Unit testing and the Seller/Server Certificate ("Certificate") upon successfully passing the Standard Competence Test ("Test"). Full payment of the Fee is due regardless of whether you pass the Test.
CSS Course Schedule: STUDENT represents that STUDENT has verified whether CSS is an approved school or non State mandated training. The CSS Course minutes vary per state requirements. The CSS course has multiple chapters of instruction ("Units") and testing on the material covered in the CSS Course content.
STUDENT USE AND NON-USE OBLIGATIONS: In consideration of STUDENT’S use of services provided in this site, STUDENT agrees to provide a true, accurate, current and complete information about STUDENT. Under no circumstances shall STUDENT allow another person to take the Test on behalf of STUDENT. STUDENT shall not use, or permit others to use, this site in a manner or purpose contrary to the Terms and Conditions. STUDENT is responsible for all activities that occur under STUDENT’S password or account, and will keep the password(s) confidential. The CSS Course if for STUDENT’S personal non-commercial use. STUDENT may not modify, copy, distribute, transmit, reproduce, publish any information from the CSS course and Test obtained from this site.
Falsification of Documents and Misrepresentations. STUDENT understands that if STUDENT desires to receive a Certificate that their state may require that the STUDENT must be a United States citizen or be legally authorized to work in the United States. Upon registration for the a Course, STUDENT understands that STUDENT may need to present evidence of its citizenship or work authorization. STUDENT authorizes CSS to verify citizen and work authorization compliance if needed. False documents or false information submitted to CSS for compliance verification results in an issued Certificate being void and/or voidable and may lead to other legal consequences. By registering for the CSS Course and receiving a Certificate, STUDENT represents that he/she viewed and understood all of the material for each Unit, completed the required duration, and successfully passed each Unit of the Test. If CSS discovers that during the taking of the CSS Course that STUDENT misrepresented himself/herself, or has cheated, STUDENT will be stopped from taking the course and shall not be eligible for a refund of the Fee. If STUDENT provided any information that is untrue, inaccurate, not current, or incomplete, or CSS has reasonable grounds to suspect that such information is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, CSS has the right to suspend or terminate the services provided to STUDENT and CSS can refuse any and all current or future use of its services.
Grading and Progress Policy: The grading and progress policy may be governed by any State and STUDENT understands that he/she may not be certified or given credit for the course unless STUDENT scores the requirement of passing % on Test exam. The STUDENT is required to complete a Unit and be tested for the Unit before proceeding to the next Unit. If STUDENT incorrectly answers more than one question on a unit test, the student must restart and complete the unit again before being retested for the Unit. In total, if STUDENT does not correctly answer the proper % of the questions asked on the Test, STUDENT must retest immediately. If STUDENT does not correctly answer at least the proper % of the questions asked on the re-test, the STUDENT must repeat the CSS Course in full and will need to re-pay the Fee.
Cancellation and Refund Policy: Refunds are limited and are defined in this section. A full refund will be made to STUDENT if he/she cancels registration prior to commencing the CSS Course. Additionally, the Fee is refundable when the course of instruction is discontinued by CSS preventing STUDENT from completing the course. If STUDENT is eligible for a refund, then, the refund will be made within 30 days of the effective date of the refund request. Although the CSS Course may be self-paced, if STUDENT has not successfully commenced and/or completed the course within 180 days, his/her course registration will be terminated without notice, he/she will not be eligible for a refund, and will need to re-pay the CSS Course in full in order to re-register for the CSS course. In the event that STUDENT’s registration is terminated (due to failure to complete during 180-days) and STUDENT re-registers, STUDENT will not receive credit for any of the prior completed Units. This policy may be modified to fit additional States rules and regulations.
Completion and Certificate Policy: CSS will electronically issue the STUDENT a Certificate within 24 hours only if STUDENT satisfies the requirements for a Certificate. See Grading and Progress Policy above. Duplicate Certificates can be requested. If a States policy does not allow electronically issued certificates than an alternative method will be used.
Privacy Policy: STUDENT understands that information, including personal information, is collected by CSS upon registration. STUDENT is advised that CSS may be required to report to the STUDENT’s information, including personal information, for example, STUDENT’S name, birth date, successful completion of course, test score and certificate number. CSS may also be required to keep in its records for up to four years, a STUDENT’S name, mailing address, email address, any information required to assign the student a commission approved personal identification number, and student’s score. The information about STUDENT collected by CSS is subject to its privacy policy (except for required reporting of STUDENT’s information to a State Agency). CSS recognizes the importance of protecting the privacy of its students and visitors to its website while permitting CSS to conduct legitimate business. The collected information is used to: provide STUDENT with the course of instruction; to enable billing; electronically provide the Certificate (with verification to state agency); to communicate with STUDENT necessary to ensure Course completion, testing, and processing of Certificate, among other business-related reasons. STUDENT represents that STUDENT has reviewed this privacy summary as well as the additional Privacy and Cookie information on CSS’s website.
Duration and Revocation: STUDENT understands that a Certificate is good for two years unless otherwise stated per a State Regulation with a longer expiration period. Further, STUDENT understands that a State may revoke a STUDENT’S Certificate under certain conditions. STUDENT is advised to fully review State Rules.
Hardware and Software Requirements for Internet Use: STUDENT understands that the CSS Course is an on-line course and requires certain technology that is STUDENT’s sole responsibility. An updated list of the technology required to take the Course is available on CSS’s website. In addition, the CSS Course requires the use of a pointing device such as a mouse and speakers and/or headphones.
DISCLAIMER: The use of comedy is a tool and teaching technique that promotes and facilitates learning for some individuals. CSS disclaims that all STUDENTS who take the CSS course will pass the Commission Standard Competence Test for the issuance of a Certificate. While there may be entertainment in CSS’s website and/or the CSS Course, STUDENT understands that STUDENT is solely responsible to study, learn, and understand the CSS Course contents sufficiently to pass the Commission Standard Competence Test. CSS disclaims that STUDENTS who hold a CSS Certificate prevents violations of the law because it is each STUDENT’S sole responsibility to ensure the law is followed in serving or selling alcohol.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: CSS, ITS AFFILIATES, OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, TRAINERS, AGENTS, LICENSORS, DISTRIBUTORS, SUPPLIERS (COLLECTIVELY, CSS PARTIES") SHALL NOT BE LIABLE TO STUDENT AND/OR ANY THIRD-PARTY AFFECTED BY STUDENT’S ACTIONS OR INACTIONS UNDER ANY CLAIM, DEMAND OR ACTION ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE CSS COURSE OR THE ISSUANCE OF A CERTIFICATE TO STUDENT, WHETHER OR NOT THE COURSE WAS PAID BY STUDENT. CSS AND THE CSS PARTIES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR COURSE INTERRUPTIONS, SHUTDOWN OF THE CSS’S WEBSITE FOR REASONS RELATED TO WEATHER, ACTS OF GOD, OR WAR, TEMPORARY UNAVAILABILITY DUE TO MAINTENANCE, OR STUDENT AFFECTED BY COMPUTER VIRUSES THAT MIGHT ARISE FROM STUDENT VISITING THE CSS WEBSITE OR FROM COMMUNICATIONS FROM CSS, AND/OR FROM TAKING THE CSS COURSE. CSS MAKES NO EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES THAT STUDENT WILL SUCCESSFULLY PASS THE COMMISSION STANDARD COMPETENCE TEST, OR THAT STUDENT’S CERTIFICATE IS IRREVOCABLE. CLAIMS BY STUDENT OF ANY TYPE RELATED TO ALL THE AFORE-MENTIONED, INCLUDING CLAIMS OF BEACH OF CONTRACT, OR VIOLATIONS OF THE STATE’S DECEPTIVE PRACTICES ACT, OR A TORT ACTION, SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT PAID BY STUDENT FOR THE CSS COURSE. FURTHER, STUDENT SHALL INDEMNIFY AND HOLD CSS AND THE CSS PARTIES HARMLESS FROM ANY AND ALL CLAIMS OF INJURY, DEATH, NEGLIGENCE, CLAIMS UNDER THE DRAM-SHOP ACT, OR ANY OTHER CLAIMS, LOSSES OR DAMAGES INCLUDING ATTORNEY’S FEES AND COSTS, THAT RELATE IN ANY WAY, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, TO STUDENT SELLING AND/OR SERVING ALCOHOL. STUDENT AGREES TO RELEASE AND HOLD CSS HARMLESS FOR THE DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION THAT IS REQUIRED TO BE PROVIDED TO STATE ABOUT STUDENT. CSS AND THE CSS PARTIES ARE NOT LIABLE FOR THE STATE’S HANDLING OF STUDENT’S PRIVATE INFORMATION OR REVOCATION OF STUDENT’S CERTIFICATE.

General Provisions: These Terms and Conditions are governed by the State of which student resides and is taking the course for, without regard to conflict of laws provisions, and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction in the State the student resides and is taking the course for. This agreement constitutes the entire contract between CSS and STUDENT, and verbal assurances or promises not contained herein shall not bind CSS. If any part of this Agreement is determined to be invalid or unenforceable pursuant to applicable law, including but not limited to warranty disclaimers or liability limitations set forth above, then the invalid or unenforceable provision will be deemed superseded by a valid, enforceable provision that most closely matches the intent of the original provision and the remainder of the Agreement shall continue in effect. A printed version of this Agreement and of any notice given in electronic form shall be admissible in judicial or administrative proceedings based upon or relating to this Agreement to the same extent and subject to the same conditions as other business documents and records originally generated and maintained in printed form.
